The role of horticulture in poverty alleviation in the Lake Victoria Region.

Abstract

This paper looks at the need to optimally utilize the irrigation potential of the Lake Victoria region of Kenya in order to facilitate the development of the horticulture industry and consequently alleviate poverty in the region. A plan of action to achieve these objectives is outlined.
