    Abstract/Overview
Sixteen sesame accessions (Table I) were obtained from the germplasm collection of the Sesame Improvement Project of the University of Nairobi. 1nocula of C. sesamicola were prepared using the technique described by Robert and Findley (1952). Diseased material was collected from the University of Nairobi sesame multiplication nursery at Siaya FTC, Kenya, in June 1992, sorted into either white or angular leaf spot and dried at ambient temperatures (20 to 26 C). Dried tissues were chopped into small pieces, placed in sealed polythene bags and stored in the laboratory.
